At Celtic Hearing we take noise very seriously. If you work or enjoy yourself in noise, so should you.
Industrial Noise:Current noise exposure legislation requires an employer to take action at lower levels than previous health and safety rules. Full details are available on the HSE website though anybody exposed to sounds above 85dB (A) is likely to require hearing protection.
Peak and Average Sound Pressure Levels
12-bore shotgun = 155dB
.22 rifle = 145dB
Motorbike Helmet
35mph = 78 - 90dB(A)
120mph = 114 - 116dB(A)
At 70mph exposure action levels can be exceeded within 40 minutes.
We offer a full employee testing service, available either at your premises or at our centre.
If you require hearing protection for your work, sport or concert-going we have a range of options available from standard high-fidelity earplugs (ER series) to the rugged Emtec Noisebreakers(R), used by Police, motorbikers and marksmen.
